The card game Uno, sometimes known as UNO, was created in 1971 by Merle Robbins in Reading, Ohio, a suburb of Cincinnati, where International Games Inc. was located. On January 23, 1992, Mattel acquired this gaming company. Uno is pronounced (/uno/; from the Spanish and Italian for "one").
The basic rules of the game, which are similar to those of the classic European card game mau-mau and are played with a specially printed deck, place it in the crazy eights family of card games.
You must discard all of your cards in this game before your opponents do. Each player must discard a card with the same color or number as the one on the table after each turn. A player must draw a card from the deck if they don't have any matching cards. A player must press the "last card" button when they have just one card left to avoid being penalized with two extra cards.
