Game Rules

Pai Gow Poker is a poker variant that employs the traditional 5-card hand. Instead of competing with the other players at the table, everyone is pitted against the dealer's hand. Before you begin playing Pai Gow Poker, you should become acquainted with the basic 5-card poker hands.

  • Ace, King, Queen, Jack, and a 10 of the same suit make up a royal flush.
  • Straight flush: five consecutive cards of the same suit, such as an ace, three, four, and five of clubs.
  • 4 of a kind: four identical cards of different suits.
  • A full house consists of three cards of the same rank plus two cards of the same rank.
  • A flush is defined as five cards of the same suit.
  • Straight: 5 consecutive cards of the same suit, such as 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.
  • Three of a kind: three of the same cards.
  • 2 pairs: 2 matching cards from the same rank and 2 matching cards from a different rank.
  • A pair is two matching cards.
  • The highest-ranking card in the hand is referred to as the high card.
