Gin Rummy Online belongs to the Rummy family of games. how with most games, there are numerous variations available, thus the game may not be exactly how you play it or may award different points for certain actions. I'll explain the regulations we follow on this site further down. I'll begin by introducing a few fundamental principles before moving on to the game's gameplay and score.
Each player is dealt ten cards. The remaining deck is placed face down on the table between the players, and one card is placed face up beside the deck to begin the discard pile.
Every turn, a player must begin by drawing one card. He can either draw the top card from the deck or the top card from the discard pile. In general, you should only draw the top card from the discard pile if you know it will aid you in forming a meld with some of the other cards in your hand.
The starting player must choose whether to draw the face-up card on the board or pass the turn on the first turn. Proceed normally if the card is drawn. If the turn is passed, the other player is given the same option. If they pass as well, the first player plays their turn as usual.
After drawing a card, the player must discard one card by placing it face up on top of the discard pile. If the player drew the top card from the discard pile at the start of the turn, he may not discard it until his next turn (which also makes no sense). He may, however, discard the card he just drew from the deck, as well as any other card in his hand.
