About Solitaire Tripeaks

What is Solitaire Tripeaks?

Solitaire Tripeaks is a one-player card game with simple but hard gameplay. It gets its name from the shape of the cards in the tableau. These are arranged so that they form three pyramids of overlapping cards, and because each pyramid has a peak, we have Tri-Peaks or triple peaks.

Game rules

You must remove all of the cards from the tableau that are in the three peaks. To remove a card, simply choose one that is one higher or one lower than the card at the bottom of the deck.

The tableau is given three adjacent peaks of six face-down cards at the start. On top of these three peaks, ten face-up cards are dealt. The remaining 24 cards are shuffled face-down into the stock.

The stock's top card is turned face up and placed next to the stock. The "deck card" or "waste pile" is the name given to this card.

If a card in the tableau is ranked higher or lower than the current deck card (the top of the waste pile), it can be removed. The suit of the cards is irrelevant. Simply click the card you want to discard, and it will be moved to the rubbish pile. By clicking on each card individually, you can remove them from the tableau.

When there are no cards on top of a face-down card in one of the three peaks, it will turn face-up.

If no more moves are available, click the stock to turn the top card face-up and move it to the garbage pile. This is now the new deck card. The stock cannot be re-dealt.
